THE WORLD HAS LOST ITS MIND,
BUT WE CAN HELP THEM FIND IT
CONTRIBUTED BY JEFF STEWART NPGA CHAIRMAN
If you were unable to join the OPGA mem- bership in August at the annual summer con- vention, you missed one of the best speech- es from a NPGA Chairman. Current NPGA Chairman Jeff Stewart, the President of Blue
Star Gas, shared his speech with the OPGA and gave permission to reprint it.
Before we provide his comments, here is more information about Jeff. Jeff is the 3rd generation owner of Blue Star Gas, an 85-year-old family business in Santa Rosa, CA. Blue Star Gas has been selling renewable propane since late 2017 and now does so in California, Oregon, and Washington — all states that have the
Low Carbon Fuel Standards (LCFS) programs.
Jeff is sharing his perspective, The World Has Lost Its Mind, But We Can Help Them Find it, with the industry. Jeff has been sharing his perspective and encouraging the propane industry to consider the opportunities available to the industry given the “Electrification of Everything” (EOE) mindset.
Following are Jeff ’s comments and thoughts. We hope you enjoy and appreciate them:
“Some people say that the future of our propane industry is dim and, in some states, such as mine, likely destined for extinction. I maintain that there are tremendous opportunities for those of us in the propane business. Even in the parts of the country where there is a strong anti-gas bias, we have a very bright future
