In 2017, Minerva also promoted a campaign re- lated to the Rural Environmental Registry (or CAR, its acronym in Portuguese), disseminating information on its objectives, the advantages and the consequences for producers whose proper- ty is not regularly registered and time limits. In addition, livestock ranchers receive updated in- formation on the best raising and management techniques, aimed at productivity in conjunction with social and environmental responsibility. Sustainable Cattle Ranching therefore adds val- ue to the business as long as its progress make it possible to subsidize purchases based on territo- rial intelligence. Various types of documents are requested when creating records on new suppli-
ers, particularly pairs of geographic coordinates, with exact verification of location. This informa- tion makes territorial management of the loca- tion possible. In association with the Company’s database, this management results in a survey of the amount and type of cattle in each region (a direct influence on productivity). Consequent- ly, procurement is more directed, representing a savings, since the sourcing of raw materials ac- counts for 75% to 85% of the final product cost. Logistics costs are also optimized due to better route management. 103-2 | 103-3
