This is a program providing technical and financial support for producers to acquire supplements and feed, from rearing to fattening, aimed at young ani- mals, slaughtered within a maximum of 24 months and weighing around 18 arrobas (15k). This proj- ect is developed in partnership with the São Paulo State Agribusiness Technology Agency (Agência Paulista de Tecnologia de Agronegócios – APTA) and includes guidelines for cattle ranchers to in- crease productivity and revenue based on better feed for animals and heavier carcass weights. In 2017, the program had 66 participating suppliers.
Talking Livestock
The Talking Livestock program includes meet- ings, seminars and on site field visits to cattle ranchers, held under the auspices Bond of Trust program. Throughout the year technicians, vet- erinarians, zoo technicians and agronomists give presentations and discuss topics related to quality, sustainability, animal welfare, humane slaughter among other topics with suppliers, considering regional particularities. In 2017, in addition to the topics included on annual agendas, guidelines on good vaccination practices were also highlighted.
