Minerva Foods uses a tracking system that mo- nitors every step in the value chain, from the procurement of cattle to the delivering of the fi- nal product to the consumer. In addition to The Brazilian System of Identification and Certifi- cation of Bovine and Bubaline Origin (SISBOV, its acronym in Portuguese), a tracking system administered by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Company has created a series of cattle con- trol programs at ranches of commercial part- ners, as mentioned under the Supplier Chain item in this chapter.
