Industrial units are responsible for their own energy management, providing data to the En- gineering department on a monthly basis, which is in charge of managing consumption. In addi- tion, indicators such as value (in Brazilian cur- rency) per kilo of deboned product are managed, considering energy consumption. With the ex- ception of Goianésia, all factories acquire energy on the free market – Araguaína, Barretos, Batay- porã, Campina Verde, Janaúba, José Bonifácio, Mirassol d'Oeste, Palmeiras de Goiás, Rolim de Moura and Várzea Grande.
