NYP - SAPSASA
Harvest Christian College recently hosted the Year 5/6 SAPSASA boys football carnival, where some of the most talented young footballers from across the Yorke Peninsula battled it out in fiercely competitive matches, all vying for a coveted spot on the NYP SAPSASA team.
The day was packed with high-intensity action, and the Harvest Christian College team displayed impressive tenacity and skill, securing numerous victories throughout the event.
The various premiership trophies on display added to the day’s excitement, undoubtedly leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
Special thanks go to Joshua Griffin for his invaluable contribution as an umpire, helping to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all involved. Overall, the event was a huge success and a testament to the incredible talent and passion of the young footballers in the Yorke Peninsula region.
ART CLUB - Lunchtime Activities
One of the extracurricular activities offered during Harvest’s lunch hour is the Art Club, a forum for students to cultivate their creative abilities. Mackenzie Carter and Grace Carson have recently completed their first weaving sampler, and they look great.
The students weaved the woollen threads, referred to as the weft, in a horizontal pattern through the warp, resulting in a vibrant tapestry of varying textures. Mackenzie and Grace elected to adorn the edges with pom poms to add a distinctive flourish to their sampler.
The girls have set their sights on weaving beanies with the intention of completing them before the arrival of winter.
