National Youth Leader’s Day
Harvest’s fantastic Year 6 Prefects and
SRC Representatives attended the Halogen National Youth Leader’s Day at the Adelaide Convention on March 17th.
We have heard from several guest speakers across the day, including Gemma Houghton (AFLW Port Adelaide Player), Nathan Luff (Author) and Anthony ‘Harries’ Carroll (Bondi Rescue Lifeguard), about what it means to show leadership to those around us.
We discussed the importance of setting goals and thought about how we can step up to serve others in our community. We look forward to seeing our Year 6 leaders implement their learning in the near future!
Playgroup is for all Preschoolers (0-5 years old)
Date: Every MONDAY during school term Time: 9.00am to 10:30am Where: Harvest Christian College Room T1 (Next to Art Room)
Cost is a gold coin donation. Tea and coffee provided for parents. Please bring a snack for your child.
Term 2 dates and activities
Playgroup develops physical skills, teaches problem-solving, communication and social interaction, and it’s great fun!
We have been busy creating things with play dough, making pictures by cutting, sticking and colouring, making tracks for the wooden trains, building block towers, doing puzzles, threading and much more. Next week is our last playgroup for this term, and we will be doing some Easter activities and having an egg hunt. We’d love you to join us.
