  My thoughts on Anzac Day
Anzac day is a significant day of recognition each year where we
take the time to remember those who have served Australia and
New Zealand during the battle of Gallipoli. It is also a time to spare a thought for those who are currently serving and for those who have served in other wars during the past. Anzac day is a day where I can stop for a minute to think about my relatives on my Pa’s side who served for Australia. This day makes me feel incredibly proud of where I live, how fortunate I am and how lucky we are as Australians to enjoy a safe country, knowing that we don’t have to deal with significant social or political issues that affect our everyday lives. This couldn’t be done without the proud Australian and New Zealand soldiers who we remember on this day that gave up their lives to fight and give us the chance to live in peace.
