Capernwray Bible School Taste and See visit Sept 25 - 30 / 2022
Harvest Christian College has benefitted from Capernwray Bible School students visiting with us as part of their Aussie Road Trip several times over the years, pre-Covid.
This year fourteen students from Harvest, led by Bruce Edwards, Harvest Chaplain and accompanied by Jayne Edwards, Harvest Counselor and
VET coordinator, along with Tyson Hartley, Head of Middle School and Makayla Penner SSO, were given
the opportunity to visit Capernwray Bible School near Moss Vale in the NSW Southern Highlands through
a generous donation to the Harvest Mission Fund.
We were able to join nineteen other students from Canada, America, Germany and Australia and participate in Al Watson’s presentation of Walk thru
the Bible New Testament.
Capernwray Bible School is a live-in training centre and one of twenty six around the world.
They offer many training opportunities, including three and six month long Bible Discipleship Missions. And they also provide a Great Aussie Road trip experience.
While in the area, we were blessed to visit Bowral and the beautiful Belmore and Fitzroy Falls. We also had a short visit to Circular Quay to see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House on Friday before flying home.
The Bible teaching is terrific, but the benefits of being part of the Capernwray community and live-in experience are far-reaching and transformational to a person’s growth and development. The Harvest students interacted with the Capernwray students and staff, experienced the love of God, and were all able to grow in their faith and belief.
We are all grateful for the opportunity and look forward to the ongoing growth and transformation in each person’s life from this trip to Capernwray Bible School.
Matt 28:18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. This presentation of the New Testament using oral, visual and kinesthetic learning techniques is an
excellent and constructive presentation.
We also heard from Pastor Skar, who works online in the gaming space and meets with 24,000 people worldwide.
