Lower Primary Community Breakfast
A HARVEST COMMUNITY EVENT
The Lower Primary Community Breakfast was well attended by some very excited students.
The enthusiasm was seen from those providing service, those who enjoyed their delicious meals, and during the dance when even Mr Williams joined in. Everybody had a great time, and it is wonderful to hold these Harvest community events again!
         Community Support Art Program
Each year during the Nativity Season, Port Broughton Community displays a public roadside nativity scene. We aim to remind everyone who passes the church (on the main road) of the vital Christmas story, history and deep meaning.
But after several years of use, the old materials had faded badly in the intense SA sunlight, warped in
the heat, and needed replacing. The Port Broughton Men’s Shed has kindly helped to provide new durable cut-outs in marine ply, and some of the Year 8, 9,
and 10 Art students at Harvest Christian College are painting them up freshly as a Community Support Art Program.
Here are some photos of the students starting to create new and eye-catching nativity figures to display this Christmas on the corner of Spencer Highway and Edmund Street, Port Broughton.
