Be Safe. Be Healthy. Together We’re Better!
Over $1 Million in Life Insurance Benefits - Denied and Won on Appeal!
Our agency was retained to obtain records, reports, photographs, and records from the official investigating agencies,
and provide an expert case review and consultation for to file an appeal direct to the insurance company to appeal their
decision denying benefits to the widow.
Following submission of the appeal with report, the insurance company referred their findings to an expert forensic
pathologist. A few weeks later, the insurer reversed its denial decision and agreed to pay full benefits exceeding $1
million. As noted by the attorney, our "...expert protocols, analysis, and review saved us valuable time and resulted in a
great outcome for our client. Our appeal was heavily dependent on the expert research, review, analysis and report of
the Beers, as experts in the field of medicolegal investigation and analysis."

UPDATE - Colorado PI Licensing
The Colorado’s legislature reconvened 05/26/2020 to finish the legislative session. This is considered a legislative priority
bill; important in a legislature now facing mandatory budget cuts and other issues arising from this event.
In October Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) recommended the repeal of the 2015 PI licensing law,
citing no evidence of past or potential public harm. PPIAC’s Legislative Committee is working daily to have passed
renewed legislation to continue the PI licensing program. At only five years old the licensing program is a proven success
protecting the public. The bill to continue licensing has bi-partisan House and Senate sponsorship, and will be heard in
the House Appropriations Committee, the House floor votes, and finally through the Senate process and governor.
