In response, they identified themselves, then retreated to cover and concealment - two to a neighbor's behind a vehicle, and the third across the street. All stated the defendant shot at them multiple times, and they could feel and hear the bullets going by their heads; only one officer returned fire from behind the vehicle. The defendant was arrested and charged with attempted homicide (x3), felon in possession of a handgun, multiple counts of drug possession with intent to sell, and parole violations.What were the circumstances?
