From the Director’s Desk – Yearbook 2024–2025
“A year of building, belonging, and becoming.”

          Dear AISF Families,

What a year it has been!

As I sit down to write this final message of the year, I find myself thinking not only of the milestones
we have reached — but the steady, daily steps we have taken to get there. And each of those steps,
taken by students, staff, and families alike, has made AISF feel more like a place of purpose, belonging,
          and joy.

From our very first Welcome Assembly to the laughter during Spirit Weeks and the reflection of our
Independence Day celebrations, this has been a year rich with learning and growth. Our ECC children
planted gardens, built bridges, and celebrated their Royal Ball with wonder and pride. Our elementary
students tackled Batik design, problem-solving and weaving with simple machines. They met reading
challenges with gusto. Our middle and high schoolers debated the causes of WWII, explored
ecosystems under the microscope, finally got to participate in dissection activities and sat AP exams
          with quiet determination.

We launched Live Music at Lunch, hosted our first STEAM Fair and Art Exhibition, and welcomed staff
& students from our sister schools in Liberia and Conakry. We strengthened ties with our service
partners, the National School for the Deaf, Milton Margai School and the Goodwill Foundation. We
also enhanced our academic foundations — deepening our use of tools like i-Ready, SMART targets,
and MAP data to better understand and support each learner’s individual path. With MSA
reaccreditation on the horizon and our Round Square candidacy now officially underway, we continue
to build a school where every student can thrive.

There were lighter moments too — Field Day, water fights, cooking challenges, and Book Week dress-
up days — all reminders that school is also a place of friendship and fun.

To our teachers and staff: thank you. Your commitment has been unwavering, and the impact you
have had on our students is lasting. To our families: your trust has carried us forward. And to every
AISF student: you are the heartbeat of this community. I am proud of you — not just for what you
have achieved, but for who you are becoming.

As you turn the pages of this Yearbook, I hope you see a community that has grown stronger together
          — one moment, one project, one act of kindness at a time and may you reflect on a school year lived
          with courage, creativity, and care.

Wishing you a restful break and a joyful return.
