3. OUTCOMES

Research outputs are published in refereed journals, research outputs are utilized, patented, copyrighted
andcommercialized.

TheUniversityis tasked to engagein research to seeknewtechnologies, generate relevant knowledge,andpromote
sustainable development. Thus, the University’sresearch outputs will beused to improve andsupport communitylife
through extension services; to help the rural poor to become productive and independent and active participants in
regionalandnationaldevelopment.

In 2019, there were a total of 15 publications, 5 in 2018, and 3 in 2017. These are research articles published in
internationally refereed journals andCHEDrecognized journals. Atotal of 74papers were published, 128researches
werepresentedinlocal,regional,nationalandinternational conferences.

In the year 2017-2019, it is noted that there are 33 approved Intellectual Property Rights composed of Invention,
Utility Model and Industrial Design. It is noted that 12 out of the 33approved IPR are developed within the last three
years.
