ADVAY OF DPS JAMMU WINS PRESTIGIOUS

                 ‘IMOC ELITIST’ TITLE IN INTERNATIONAL

                            MATHS OLYMPIAD CHALLENGE



                  aking its rich academic legacy
                  ahead, this time in the global
           Tarena, Advay Sharma of Class VIII
           of Delhi Public School Jammu scored
           a commendable 93.25 percentile in the
           International Maths Olympiad Challenge
           organized  by  Global  Programs,  Florida,
           USA in December 2022, thereby winning
           the  prestigious  “IMOC  Elitist’  title
           conferred on him.
           Earlier, Advay had cleared Round 1 of
           the Online Simulated Maths Olympiad
           (OSMO) at  the international level with
           a 78.06 percentile, which gave him a
           direct entry to Round 3 of the Olympiad
           challenge. It is noteworthy that the
           International Maths Olympiad Challenge
           helps meet the growing requirements of schools across the world that require global yet standardized
           Maths Olympiads. It is also pertinent to mention that Delhi Public School Jammu was shortlisted as one
           of the selected few special schools across India and the only one in J&K to be nominated for participating
           in the OSMO challenge.
           Along with the title of “IMOC Elitist”, Advay will receive a medal and certificate and will also be showcased
           on the organizer’s website and social media channels.

                    SCIENCE CONFERENCE



                     ohammed Zaigham Salaria, a student of class XII of  Delhi Public
                     School Jammu brought laurels to the school and his parents by
           Mbecoming the youngest delegate to present his talk in a National
           Science Conference held in Kashmir on 31st March and 1st April, 2022 on
           the topic “Endangered and rare medicinal plants of Pir Panjal Himalayas.”
           Dr. Owais Ahmed (IAS), District Development Commissioner, Bandipora
           and alumni DPS Jammu was the Guest of Honour on this occasion. Dr.
           Owais became nostalgic about school days at DPS Jammu as he watched
           Zaigham’s presentation on ‘Stalls of Lungs’ during the drawing competition
           in which Zaigham participated additionally. Experts from IIT Roorkee,
           Amity University, Kashmir University besides a number of intellectuals
           across  the Kashmir  division  and Jammu  province  also participated  in
           the conference. Zaigham received huge appreciation for his outstanding
           presentation in the conference.
