Sports activities encompass all types of competitive bodily and intellectual activity which through
informal and organized participation, at least in part purpose to use, keep and enhance physical ability and skills
while proving enjoyment and in some cases entertainment to spectators. There are thousands of sports in this
world More than hundreds of sports exist in this world from those sports have been divided in to 3 category
physical sports, mind sports, competitive model sports. These three types of sports are also divided into many
categories.
Physical sports:
Air sports: The term air sports covers a range of aerial activities. Air sports contains different types of aerial
activities which has a vast sporting domain. Games which combine to make up with the “Air sports” includes Air
racing, Aerobatics, Aeromodelling , hang gliding, Human power air craft, parachuting, paragliding and sky
diving. Each one of these requires different settings including high above the earth like in parachuting and
paragliding etc. It’s a quite expensive game and it is very rarely seen.
Basketball family: Basketball is a team sport is played between two teams of 5 players in which desires are
scored by throwing a ball through a netted hoop fixed at each end of the court. (approximately 9.4 inches (24 cm)
in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter mounted 10 feet (3.048 m) high
to a backboard at each end of the court while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own
hoop. Basketball family includes Basketball, Cestoball, Flicker ball, Korfball, Netball, Ring ball, Slam ball etc.
Bat and ball games: Bat and ball games or protected heaven games are area games played with the aid of two
opposing teams, in which the action starts when the defending team throws a ball at a dedicated participant of a
attacking team, who tries to hit it with a bat. The best known modern bat and bowl games are baseball and cricket,
with common roots in the 18th century games played in England. The most popular bat and ball games are
Baseball and Cricket. There are many other bat and ball games such as Cork ball. Danish long ball, Elle, kickball,
Meatball plant etc.
Football: Football is a family of group sports activities that includes, to verifying degrees, kicking a ball to score
a goal. The word football normally means the form of football that is most popular where the word is used. There
are many forms of football such as association football or soccer, gridiron football or American football, Rugby
football and Gaelic football act. These various forms of football is known as football codes.
Golf: Golf is a club and ball sports in which players use a range of golf equipment to hit the ball into a series of
holes on a path in as few strokes as possible. The game at the usual level is played on a route with an arranged
progression of 18 holes, though recreational courses can be smaller, often having nine holes.
Ball over net games: Ball over net games is a sports where a net is a standard part of the game, especially where
the net separates the opponents. The fundamental goal in this activity is to hit the ball over the net back to the
opponent. Gamers score a factor when the opponent fails to return the ball over the net. Net sports usually include
racket sports like Tennis, badminton, and pickle ball also volley ball, foot volley, headis, roundnet, ect.
Mind sports:
Card games:
A card game is any games using playing cards as the system with which the game is played, be they common or
sport specific. A card games is played with a deck or pack of playing cards which are identical in size and shape.
Every card has two side the face and back. Usually the backs of the cards are indistinguishable. There are many
of card games such as Contact Bridge, hanafuda, poker, skate, truco etc.
Strategy board games:
A strategy game is a game in which the players unconcerned, and often autonomous decision making skills have
a high significance in determining the outcome. Almost all strategy games require internal decision tree style
thinking and typically very high situational awareness. Chess is the best example of strategic games. It also
include arima, checkers, diplomacy, dominoes etc.
