               It is the responsibility of all food handlers to stop bacteria from multiplying and spoiling food by
               using methods to kill or control the bacteria.

















































               The table on the next page gives you examples of the common bacteria that could cause food-
               borne illness, possible symptoms you might see, and what kind of food is likely to be
               contaminated.
