Being in the society of good, spiritual people.
The three gunas or characteristics of embodied beings, translated roughly as peaceful, active and dull.
One who is dedicated to service.
The creative divine power; a name of the divine mother; the feminine aspect of God, representing His power and energy.
Peace, undisturbed peace. A benediction often repeated three times after Vedantic prayers.
Indian holy man from whom Sai Baba of Puttaparthi says he was reincarnated.
The destroyer God of the Hindu trinity, the other two be- ing Brahma and Vishnu.
A siddha is one who has attained siddhis {yogic powers). 1872-1950: His ashram at Pondicherri, in southern India, was turned into a community of spiritual seekers from all over the world, called Auroville. A prolific writer, his works include The Life Divine, Essays on the Gita, The Synthesis of Yoga, Letters on Yoga, and many others. 1894-1969: quarters known as Meherabad. He observed a vow of silence for many years; traveled throughout Europe and America; wrote Discourses by Meher Baba and God Speaks·.
1879-1950: He was an illumined rishi of southern India; taught non-duality through self inquiry—one should con- stantly ask himself, “Who am 1?” His ashram was located on a sacred hill called Arunachala.

The first is known as the Golden Age as there is a great preponderance of virtue among men, but with each succeeding yuga virtue diminishes and vice increases. In the Kali yuga there is a minimum of virtue and a great excess of vice. We are supposedly in the Kali yuga now.
