Best Friends Forever ...
Do you have that best friend who brings love, light and laughter to your life? The friend whose antics and mishaps have you in stitches? ! I do! I am going to share part of her story with you !
When Dee was a teenager she went to work for Kresge’s. Fools that they were, they put her to work in the candy department. She proceeded to drop 100 pounds of Bridge Mixture on the floor which the manager made her pick up, dust off and sell! It didn’t take the management long to realize that, well, maybe they should try her in another spot.
They figured they would put her in the pet department. She was told to clean out the bird cage!
She could do that, not a problem except she let all of the birds out of their cage. Apparently she was called away to assist someone else and left the cage door open inviting the birds to “spread their wings”! Another time, one unsuspecting man asked her for a goldfish. She reached inside the tank, picked up the goldfish, but in the process of trying to get her hand out of the tank, the wiggly fish went flying and landed right on a hot aquarium light. While it sizzled away, the gentleman quietly said: “Young lady I didn’t want it cooked. I wanted it for a pet.”
So management decided that area wasn’t working out and they put her to work in the canteen. Obviously they hadn’t learned their lesson! Folks, it didn’t take too long at this new post for her to break the milkshake machine, the favourite beverage of the customers!
Her career with Kresge’s - TERMINATED!
Her life story is riddled with events such as these. Life with her is never normal but you just love her more! Stay tuned for more! n
Everyone you meet has a story to tell.
