WHAT IS FLIPGRIDĤ
Flipgrid is a free video discussion platform from Microsoft that helps educa-
tors see and hear from every student in class and foster fun and supportive
social learning. In Flipgrid, educators post discussion prompts and students
respond with short videos, whether they are learning in class or at home
(Getting Started with Flipgrid, 2021). Flipgrid allows learners of all ages to find
their voices, share their voices, and respect the diverse voices of others. Flip-
grid students build and strengthen social learning communities as they dis-
cuss their ideas and experiences with their peers. Flipgrid amplifies student
voice and supports student development of global empathy as they immerse
themselves in each other’s learning processes and perspectives (Online
Tools for Teaching & Learning, 2021).
