‘If you’ve been listening to those creeps again, Mobo, I think I’d rather not hear it. I got so frightened by listening to them talk on Tuesday that I hardly made it home. Have they been saying anything I should know about?’
‘No, no, Ronnie - fine, fine - be not afraid. I have knowledge and control - also, I have satellite navigation! New radio wave have I discovered! All is on track - bad people will not have their way clear.’
‘Well, I’m glad you think our fight’s going well, because I get really frightened every time I think about that sleazy Mayor and his friends. The Dance for Green Mountain is on tonight. I’m pretty excited about it, Chuckie’s really hyped up.’
‘Hyped up?’
‘On edge, nervous,’ she explained. ‘His band, The Cheeseburgers, are playing there. Making music - or at least they think it’s music.’
‘Be wary my friend. These bad humans will not give up without a fight, of that I am sure. I sense much greed and violence.’
‘I’ll take care. I’m only a kid! Why would they pick on me? Nothing’s going to happen at a school social, there’ll be teachers there and everything. I’m going for a ride now, exploring, off towards Thornhill. I’ve never been that way before.’
‘Have a pleasant ride, my friend. Would you like to make a call to your friends before you go?’ asked Mobo.
