Yay! They can all talk! They’re probably going to take over the world, she thought; but it’ll be in good hands ... uh, wings. Watch out all you greedy, lying capitalists! You might start thinking about what’s best for the earth - not just how to land your next deal.

‘A-B-C-Dee, E-F-Gee, H-I-J-K, L-M-N-O-Pee ...’ The miniscule birds kept singing - all the way to Zee.
‘That’s great, guys,’ she told them as they finished. ‘I guess you’ve been watching Sesame Street. I used to sing the alphabet song when I was little, but if you want to learn English, you should say Zed - not Zee - even though it doesn’t rhyme.’

‘Fear not, Ronnie,’ Mobo said, ‘I shall monitor reception - interference option may be used! Now, must fledgelings learn to hunt!’ Without another word, the fuzzballs took off and flew after their mother.
‘I know you’ll look after them ... I’d just hate them to think all humans are like the trash on telly. We’re not all mutant super- heroes or arch-villains.’
‘You, Ronnie, are a super-hero, a friend, very brave.’
