You have been making hits in the UK for over 20 years now and continue to tour and do shows the length and breadth of the UK. Can you tell me what the ''Scene'' is like now compared to the early 90's when Jungle and Rave started to buss.
I think genres were more segregated in the 1990's and some scenes like UK Garage, Dubstep and Grime didn't exist yet so it was a different world. I was in and out of the Dancehall and Jungle scenes back then and it felt like Jungle was puling people together. All races were at your average Jungle rave and no one cared how you dressed, how you danced or what your cultural background was; they just wanted to listen to the music and have a good time.
Scenes are more willing to merge with others nowadays so you will see a diverse range of Artists at one event more often than in the 90's. Jungle is not at the forefront like it was before but it is still a powerful force to those who truly love it.
You have worked with a who's who of UK Jungle, DnB and Reggae talents. Is there anyone our there left
you'd still like to collaborate with?
There are lots of talented people I have not gotten to yet. I would love to work with DJ Die, Break, Bladerunner, Commix, Peckings, Tippa Irie, Rodney P, Papa Levi, actually there are lots of Artists I still want to work with.
Can you tell us where your favourite place to perform is?
I'm not sure I have a favourite place there are some memorable shows but the most important thing is the crowd and the vibes and energy they come with
Can you tell us what the next step is for David Boomah and Forward ever recordings? Any new releases or Projects to look out for?
I wish I could give you a clear answer with that but I honestly don't know I have some more singles lined up for my 2nd album but I'm not sure if I will ever complete them as I said the music industry is an unusual beast and I don't know if I fit into the structures it presents and this makes my musical ambitions very challenging
