Shockrage - Redemption [Spoontech]
The Spoontech label present us with a new name in the form of Shockrage with the track 'Redemption'. Much like the artist name the tracks shocks our senses with a full on assault of distorted screeches stunning saw leads, spooky laughs and some rip roaring kicks. The track then combines dark choir chants, menacing vocals and a chilling plucking chime that leads to some really lush leads. It finishes off with filtering leads and screaming screeches that just just end it really nicely. If you like your Hardstyle rough this is an definitely for you. https://www.beatport.com/release/the-new-age-redemption/2744094
TOP TUNE //
Michael Phase & Cally - Say Your Prayers [Loverloud]
American artist Michael Phase teams up with Mr HDUK himself Cally to bring the Hardstyle track 'Say Your Prayers'. The track starts with some nice detuned portamento synths and a really great Ragga vocal. It it then accompanied with some breakbeat action that builds up with some great risers and dropping to some enormous rumbling kicks and some great deep percussion hits. If I had one critism it would be that the track was a little short, ending at just over 3 and a half minutes. Other than that this track is absolutely amazing and really fresh. Definitely one to check out! https://www.beatport.com/release/say-your-prayers/2729868
RECOMMENDED
Gabriel Wnz - Solaris E.P [Mechanikal Hard]
New rising producer Gabriel Wnz brings us a great outing with the Solaris EP.
The first track on the EP is Solaris, an acid laden beast of a track with a real drive from start to finish. On remix duties is Domingo Caballero which adds some great atmospheric FX to proceedings with a reverse bass which is very Mauro Picotto esque that just adds to the track perfectly. We are then treated to a really pounding track called 'Dunklang' this much like Solaris adds in some more of that heavy acid action with some really dark pads and big distorted pitched bellows.
Next up and the last track we have the Dunklang (Hans Delbr¸ck Black Microdot Remix) this amps up the atmosphere tenfold adding to this a really catchy riff and the energy is absolutely mindblowing. The kick isn't as heavy as the Original but the atmosphere and the melody in this totally make up for that. Great E.P keep it up https://www.beatport.com/release/solaris/2730798
Felix R - Danger [Xtraxx Records]
Australian artist Felix R brings his unique style to Xtraxx with this the Tech fuelled track 'Danger'. The tracks is full of energy from the get go bringing in fading fx, hypnotic synths, detuned pads,
fast paced percussion, big droning saws, and some great vocal work. It then breaks down to some nice filtered action with some great plucked synths and a detuned riser thats just adds to the pace of the track bringing it up to an almighty drop. Brilliant track!

Here we are treated to a Germany & Ukraine collab from LightControl & Granz Enemy and my god what a track this is! Both artists have released on some prestigious labels including Who's Afraid of 138?!, ReDrive Records, Alter Ego and many more. The Horizon track is an absolute gem with some great percussion, big pads, a rolling bassline and exceptional synth work. The production on this is really great and the melody in the breakdown and climax is absolutely mindblowing. More like this please!!!
