PAN-POT, MARTIN EYERER, ABBY
Muddy Walls Label: Riverside Studios Berlin
In less than two short years, Riverside Studios has grown into one of Berlin's most hyped studio collectives, housing some of the biggest and brightest artists such as Booka Shade, Pan-Pot, Martin Eyerer, David August, Abby, Florian Meindl and Stephan Hinz to name a few. From this collective comes a stellar collaboration between Pan-Pot, Martin Eyerer and Abby titled 'Muddy Walls' which we used to host a remix competition for some up and coming talent. We have chosen eight winners from a large pool of submissions and today we are very excited offer them to you to download and play. The original 'Muddy Walls' is as deep and passionate as it is heavy and driving. Laced with warm sub-bass, alluring strings, and the graceful voice of Abby's vocals, it is a journey into the elegant side of techno. First up is the Marcelo Wallace remix and it is a dazzling twist on the original, staying true to the original vibe, but landing somewhere in the realm of deep tech house that would fit perfectly as the sun rises or sets. Next up is PALMFooD's delicate remake leaning into the realm of deep house with it's perfectly executed organic percussion and lush sonics. Christine Lau is up next and this remix takes the original into the sentimental space with pitched down vocals and long ardent strings creating a perfectly executed tech- house burner. Jan Neddermann's remix is a delicate retouch created by utilizing warm sub textures and sparkles of cosmic synth dashes perfect for the early mornings in a deep house set. Up next is KROKS' remix and it is surely alone in style as it is a massive wall of sound sitting somewhere between big room EDM and Glitch-Hop that any big name DJ today would use for a supremely memorable moment. Polarboi's remix is another one that lands alone in it's style as it blurs the lines between Indie Dance, Nu Disco and Tech-House by blending uplifting guitars and live drums to create a tune that would fit anytime and any place. Following is John Lead's remix and it's a classic Tech-House bomb with looping vocal snippets laid over a bouncy bassline and rich melodic textures. Last and certainly not least is Your Personal Tranquilizer's Remix and it stands alone as it's the only Dubstep remake, infused with lush textures and gripping half time dance floor antics. All in all, we could not be happier to have such a genuine pool of diverse talent involved in this package and we hope you enjoy all of these stunning remixes!

RIP DJ Organized Crime
[Words By Kaiulani Newhouse]
The music world has lost a gifted soul. James Adams otherwise known as DJ Organized Crime tragically left us on October 15, 2015. You may have recognized him in my previous articles I have written. I got to know him this past year as he and Dark Intensity aka Manny Martinez joined forces under promoter Jimmy Phu as they won a competitive DJ Duo contest and played as a duo in various clubs here in Southern California.
He was only at the tender age of 24, just a month shy of his 25th birthday. He was born and raised in the city of Redlands, CA. For Californians this is known as the Inland Empire. He managed to be a mechanic and college student by day and DJ by night. His love for the EDM music scene drew him to Orange County, CA. This is no easy feat. It’s about 60 miles away on some of the busiest freeways in the state of California. He was so dedicated to his passion he would travel the trek and go all the extra miles to get to the West side. He was an up and coming DJ in the Southern California EDM club scene.
The duo of Dark Intensity & DJ Organized Crime were from different worlds yet part of the same. James with his beard and crew from the east side and Manny the Latin American and his crew from the OC. There dynamic duo complemented their music stylings and made them an intriguing pair to watch. They were different and it worked. Their last gig together was during Memorial Day Weekend of this year when they opened up for Ilan Bluestone. Although they parted ways, they still were great solo performers. Dark Intensity the producer/DJ and DJ Organized Crime local DJ/aspiring producer. Besides winning the Duo Competition with Dark Intensity, one of the most memorable moments was our trip to Miami during Winter Music Conference, Music Week Miami, and Ultra Music Fest. We were there amongst a group of friends from California which included Dark Intensity, Ryan Adams his brother/ photographer, Issa Reyna, DJ Ericka Vee and DJ CC. Rox. It was such a rush to be in the EDM mecca rubbing elbows with celebrity DJs and VIP. His enthusiasm and fun filled attitude always makes it a good time. He was always ready for adventure. Just to see the level of joy that filled his eyes each and every day we were was so awe inspiring. Just seeing him enjoy his craft and he was able to spin at a few boutique hotels and seeing him connect with the crowd was priceless. A particular moment he shared with spinning with his brother, Ryan Adams side by side was a tear jerker. All pure music joy and love.
We all were really looking forward for this young talent to make his way. We are all in shock and are speechless. We all can’t believe he is gone. As our fellow DJs continue to play gigs, we keep him in our hearts and prayers. The show must go on, but not without all of us showing our respect to a fallen brother in the love of music. Here’s to DJ Organized Crime, we love you, we miss you and may your legacy live on in the music we play...
