While CACs provide a number of service functions, a major- ity
of cases referred into our network come through alleged reports
of child maltreatment. We can understand how different counties and communities are impacted by this by looking at the total number of referrals. Not surprisingly, these cases tend to concentrate in
areas with the highest pop- ulation - Cincinnati, Colum- bus, and Cleveland - followed closely by smaller cities like Dayton and Toledo. This, however, only provides half the picture.
This measure is no longer presented by CDF, however one can approximate total case values through manual calculation. Please only use these values as rough estimate.
