VIOLENT CRIME
This indicator reports the rate of violent crime offenses reported by law enforcement. Violent crime includes homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. This measure addition- ally includes aggravated assault, where most, but not all, domestic violence crimes are reported. This indicator is relevant because it assesses community safety. Individual changes are present in a few counties, however these chang- es do not indicate any signifi- cant trend.
