ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS
This indicator reports the ratio of the county population to
the number of mental health providers including psychia- trists, psychologists, clinical social workers, and counselors that specialize in mental health care. Similar to the previous indicator, this is a high-level measure and does not indicate the availability of mental health providers with training in trau- ma informed practice. Some increase in access in Northeast Ohio are noted, however reduced access in Southwest Ohio has also occured in the last two years.
