SINGLE PARENT HOUSEHOLDS
This measure shows the percentage of children (less
than 18 years of age) in family households that live in a home headed by a single parent. The single parent could be a male or female and is without the presence of a spouse.
This measure is included as both a consideration for potential higher risk, such as financial hardship due to loss of employment, as well as a source of potential strength as
a dedicated protective influence and source of stability in the life of the child. In considering how our CACs engage with different family structures, we can tap into protective resources which aid the efficacy of our services.
