Established in 2007, Green Home was South Africa’s first
compostable food packaging company and spearheaded the

introduc on of bagasse and plant-based bioplas c products to the
local market. It’s a founding member of the Organics Recycling
Associa on of South Africa (ORASA), whose mission is to promote
and expand South Africa’s compos ng and organic recycling market.

Green Home’s vision is to provide sustainable packaging for
takeaway food throughout Africa and beyond. It believes that if
food packaging is necessary, it should be made from sustainable,
renewable resources and it should last only as long as it is needed.
