Preface
Human ambition in achieving longevity led to the invention of new techniques
to pave the way for obtaining of long-standing human aspirations through
genetic manipulation in addition to the production of new medicines. A world
where all human beings are resistant to pathogens such as bacteria and viruses,
and all human beings say goodbye to the world with natural death. We no longer
need to spend a lot of money on medicines and vaccines to protect humans from
diseases. The world is moving in the direction of giving eternal life to human
beings, in the sense that it will both solve their welfare problems and increase
human life expectancy.
The emergence of very old genomics has revolutionized our understanding of
early human history. Researchers have made great strides in recent years using
Crisper technology. Only in the current year, there have been many reports of
Crisper succeeding in treating various diseases, including antibiotic-resistant
bacteria or disease-carrying insects. This technology is a powerful tool which can
be utilised to remove unwanted traits in plants, animals and even humans and
add desirable traits to them more accurately in comparison with what was done
in the past.
Certainly such technology can create various hopes and worries. The hopes are
that diseases such as cancer can be eradicated in addition to make human body
stronger against these diseases from embryonic period. Moreover, Plants can
significantly be more productive by changing their genetics and consequently
the world will face no food crisis.
