English as an Additional Language (EAL) Courses
These courses are specifically designed to meet the needs of students whose first language is not English. Most students
have been in Canada less than three years. Our program is designed to provide students with little English language
knowledge an opportunity to develop their language skills through an intensive language program. The focus will be to
acquire basic interpersonal communication skills through reading, writing, speaking and listening activities. Students are
assessed upon arrival and progress through the EAL program at the pace that is most beneficial for each student.
