Golconda:  Golconda  has  a  history  full  of
                Machiavellian trappings and  intrigue.  The founder
                of  the  QutubShahi  dynasty  Sultan  Quli  was
                assassinated  at the  behest  of his son. The last  of
                the QutubShahis,    Abul Hassan, was betrayed by
                his  lieutenants,  which  resulted  in  the  fall  of  the
                impregnable  fort  into  the  hands  of  the  moghuls
                under Aurangzeb in 1687.

                Srisailam: The Nallamala range of hills and forests
                extend  all  the  way  into  Kurnool  district  of  Andhra
                Pradesh.    Amidst  the  thick  forests  lies  one  of  the
                most  famous  temples  in  south  India,  the
                Bhramaramba-MallikarjunaSwamy            Jyothirlinga
                temple at Srisailam, is 235 Km from Hyderabad.


                Saraswati  Temple,Basar:  The  famous  Gyana
                Saraswati  Temple  at  Basar  is  30  Kms  from
                Nizamabad  and  falls  in  Adilabad  District  of
                          HYDERABAAD DIVISION
                Telangana.    Basar  is  well  connected  by  Railway
                from Nizamabad.


                Pillalamarri:  With  its  green  foliage,  Pillalamarri
                looks  almost  like  a  hillock  from  a  distance.  This
                Banyan tree is said to be hundreds of years old and
                is  spread  over  an  area  of  about  three  acres.    It
                looks like a large green umbrella under which about
                a  thousand  people  can  comfortably  take  shelter.
                Pillalamarri is located about 9 Km from the town of
                Mahabubnagar.


                Alampur : This quaint temple town is just over 200
                Kms  from  Hyderabad,  but  can  be  accessed  from
                Kurnool  City  (27  kms).    It  is  well  known  for  its
                temples of the Chalukyan era.   The most famous is
                the Temple of Jogulamba.



                Ranganayaka  Swamy  Temple:  This  famous

                temple  is  built  around  the  18  century  AD  during
                Sri  Krishnadevaraya  period  with  Vijayanagara
                Architecture.  This  temple  is  located  at  Srirangam
                village,  Pebbair  mandal,  Wanaparthi  district.  This
                Temple  is  situated  at  a  distance  of  63  Kms  from
                Kurnool and 24 Kms from Wanaparthi.
