CONFERENCE LOGISTICS
PARKING
Loyola University New Orleans has limited parking near the College of Law in the Pine Street lot, as indicated on the campus map. Additionally, the NOPD has arranged to have street parking restrictions waived for the duration of the conference. If you decide to drive to the conference, give yourself plenty of time. Uptown New Orleans traffic can be difficult on weekdays.
SECURITY
The New Orleans Police Department will have uniformed officers at the conference and at the official social events. Additionally, Loyola University New Orleans will have officers patrolling the University facilities. Any emergency should be phoned into 911 immediately.
TRANSPORTATION
The Conference will provide transportation from each conference hotel (the Indigo and the Staybridge). There will be one trip to the University in the morning and one trip back in the afternoon. Additionally, the University can be reached via cab/uber/lyft. Finally, if you plan in advance, you can take the historic St. Charles Avenue Streetcar from the Indigo to the University. But please do plan in advance. While the streetcar trip is fun and a great way to take in views of the City’s Garden District, the trip could take as long as 1 hour and will require exact change ($1.25).
MEDICAL NEEDS
For medical emergencies, dial 911.
BUSINESS NEEDS
The University has made its WIFI network available to conference attendees. The password will be provided at the conference. For other business needs, please contact a conference host/hostess at the conference.
QUESTIONS
Student and conference hosts will be available throughout the conference with unique badges. Do not hesitate to reach out to a host with any additional questions.
