Deidre Houston Magee, Ph.D.

Dr. Magee serves as the NOPD’s first-ever civilian Academy Administrator, responsible for the overall quality of the training that NOPD recruits receive at the Academy, including managing lesson plans, curriculums, and student and instructor evaluations. Dr. Magee received both her Bachelor of Arts degree in public administration and her Master’s degree in Education from Loyola University in New Orleans. She went on to earn a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Colorado State University and a second Master’s degree in Christian formation and Soul Care from Denver Seminary.

Paul Noel joined the New Orleans Police Department in 1997 at the age of 21 as a patrol officer. He quickly rose through the ranks of department serving in various assignments as a Detective, Detective Sergeant and as a Detective Lieutenant. In April of 2011, Paul was appointed to the position of Police Commander of the newly formed Criminal Investigations Division, and on December 30, 2015, was appointed to the position of Deputy Superintendent over the Operations Bureau. Paul received both his Masters and Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from Loyola University. He graduated from the FBI National Academy, the FBI’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Program, and the DEA’s Drug Unit Commanders Academy.
