Former THA Employee Finds New Home at Division I Colgate University
Former Hockey Academy marketing and adult league director Krista Patronick
recently began her new position as Director of Women’s Hockey Operations at Colgate University. Colgate’s Division I women’s hockey program competes in the ECAC Conference.
Patronick, who worked for the Hockey Academy from 2012-2016, is responsible for all team travel arrangements, team and sta scheduling, social media, program outreach, Colgate summer camps, and assists with on-campus recruiting. She is the team’s video coordinator, coordinating presentations as well as pre- scouts of upcoming opponents.
Patronick also has a hand in NCAA compliance matters, recording player participation, recruiting visits, recruiting evaluations, and more.
The Hockey Academy served as a place for Patronick to explore her passion for team operations and hockey-related communications.
She generated website and social media content for the New England Stars and Maine Wild junior hockey teams, and helped organize each team’s annual charity events. Patronick’s establishment and organization of the Patriot Place outdoor pond hockey style tournaments is still one of her proudest accomplishments from her years at the Hockey Academy.
