A NEW CONSTRUCTION APPROACH
IN CHICAGO
The use of steel frame cores was one of the new construction
methods that was introduced after the fire as a new way of
building construction and architecture as they have found that
steel provided with structural support as well as durability
unlike would for example in which it barely gets infected too
harsh exterior weather elements and last for long periods of
time.
During that time it was fascinating for people to see those teal
frames holding up to 12 stories of building Real state. This
then lead a new approach to design typologies that allow them
thooo explore various different urban design moves across the
USA.
Do use of steel allow them to have significantly more area
within the building as they do not require a lot of support
which reduced the size of walls, floors, etc.
- A good example of that would be the Manquetle building
built in 1895 which showcases the steel structure
throughout the tower by the glass cladding.
