Gavin Hernon with his first winner, Icefinger
Gavin set up training in Chantilly, in August 2018 and
didn't have to wait long for his first winner, sending out
his first ever runner ICEFINGER to win at the prestigious
Deauville August meeting.
In 2019 he had his first group performer FLIGHTY LADY,
who finished third in the Group 1 PRIX MARCEL BOUSSAC
at Longchamp on Arc day.
2020 saw Gavin win his first group race, the Group 3 PRIX
PAUL DE MOUSSAC LONGINES Gr3 at Chantilly with NA-
TIONAL SERVICE.
In 2021 the yard passed the 1,000,000€ mark in prizemon-
ey and had 65% of his runners finishing in the first 4.
Gavin is a passionate and devoted horseman who
strives to gain the very best from every horse that walks
into the stable.
