A Note from the Artistic Director

Greetings!
We are so thrilled that you’re here to celebrate our 30th Anniversary Season with us! It’s
been a thrilling ride, with a lot of ups and downs, but through it all, it’s YOU who have
made it all worthwhile. We hope you enjoy the variety of work we’re bringing you this
year, and we look forward to spending a lot of quality time together.
This fall, it’s The Flip Side kicking us off, which has been improvising as a team since
2002. Yes, you read that right; it’s been 22 years! And we’re also taking improv to a new
place with our long-form, structured improvised series Gemstones, coming to you in
monthly episodes throughout the season.
Paying homage to your favorite variety shows like the Carol Burnett Show, Sonny and
Cher and even Saturday Night Live, we’re bringing you A Very Spooky Special to
celebrate Halloween. We’re looking for ways to experiment and keep it fresh in ways that
will move us into our next 30 years with creativity and energy.
If you’re wondering what we’d like as a 30th anniversary gift, it’s not pearls! Please bring
a friend who’s never been to a Vivid show and introduce them to the family. Thanks for
being with us!
