A Note from the Artistic Director
Greetings!
Welcome to our first mainstage production of 2024. We’re very excited to
bring you Gone Missing, a musical created by another ensemble theatre that
we admire very much, The Civilians. It deals playfully with the broad subject
of loss, and was derived from interviews with New Yorkers that were turned
into this pastiche of songs, scenes and monologues that we bring you today.
Vivid Stage is always thrilled to have Joshua Schnetzer, who directed last
season’s The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, under our roof. And
we’re happy to showcase the talents of company members Clark Carmichael,
Becca Landis McLarty and Scott McGowan, in addition to special guests
Melody Stubbs and Thomas Vorsteg.
And if you’re here for the March Flip Side Show, Ancient History, welcome!
What better way to flip from winter to spring than with an evening of laughs
and creativity? Thanks for joining us. We hope to see you many more times
this spring for the unique and memorable experiences we have on tap.
All the best,
Laura Ekstrand
