Page 106 - Song Maps - A New System to Write Your Best Lyrics - Simon Hawkins
P. 106

Bridge – How I feel about the solution
She folds my shirts just the way I like them to fit my drawer She even irons my handkerchiefs, ties and underwear
She's got all the sprays, the starch and stuff
And a heavy duty iron that will go on, and on, and on, and on That's why she doesn't mind...
Chorus – The response
Ironing forever
Ironing forever
I have better things to do with my life, than Ironing forever
Like I said in Chapter 4, while I honestly believe you can write ANY title with Song Maps, not all titles make great lyrics!
But on a serious note, if you find yourself having trouble with any of the exercises in the Workbook, you might like to try writing an impossible title, just as an exercise. It's sometimes easier to bed down the principles in this book in an un-pressured writing environment. You never know, your title might just have a lot more scope than you might have first thought!
