Nothing wrong with that—though you may find some of the transfor-
mation challenging. You may find God nudging you to change how you
think about him. Or you. Or others.
But relax—it’s all part of his making you new.

Do this: Find a spot where you can be alone. Set your phone’s timer
to vibrate in 10 minutes. Get comfortable. Take a few deep breaths to
send a little extra oxygen to your brain.
Then read the following passage several times:

“Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes
                refuge in him” (Psalm 34:8).

Now close your eyes and ask God to speak to you through those
words he’s declared in Scripture. Ask—and then listen. Be open to a word,
a snatch of song, another verse that comes to mind. Even a color or a
            memory.
Maybe you’ll hear something and maybe you won’t. Maybe you won’t
be able to quiet your mind or emotions enough to pay attention. That’s
            okay—you’re learning and it’ll take a while.
But whatever you hear, jot in the margin of this book. Be ready to tell

            your discipler about it.

During your daily reading of the Bible (hopefully
you will be using the Three Circle Method outlined
in this lesson), take a five-verse section from any chapter and read it
several times (You might try Colossians 3:1-5.). Then stop for 30 seconds

and ask yourself two questions: 1. What does this say? and 2. How is this
applicable to the Kingdom of God? (Remember the Big Kingdom concept
from lesson three.) And finally, ask this one question of God: “What do you
            want me to do?”
