except for this form. It slid towards the portal at the
               back of the courtyard, an imposing dark green portal,
               which still made loud noises. But not this time. The
               form  slowly  floated  towards  it,  and  it  opened,
               without its eternal creaking. That too was on break,
               apparently.  And  the  form  disappeared  behind,
               nobody knows where, leaving Mrs Evans prey to a
               thousand  questions.  The  gate,  as  if  it  wanted  to
               prevent  anyone  from  disturbing  the  fate  of  this
               mysterious form, proceeded to close, still silently.



               Then, everything returns to normal, if we can say so.
               Noises are there again, the atmosphere seems to be
               alive again, and Mrs Evans felt like she came back to
               Earth.



               The rest of the night returned to normal, as did the
               rest of the days. Contrary to what one might imagine,
               Mrs.  Evans  wasn't  scared.  Only  the  next  day,  she
               naturally  told  her  daughter  and  the  owner  of  the
               place who lived just above. For her daughter, it was
               something  wonderful,  something  mythical.  But  for
               the  owner,  a  kind  and  elderly  woman  who  loved
               their cat, it was a different matter. After hearing the
               story, she became very pale. Could Mrs Evans have
