Kontoor Brands considers safety and accident prevention to be of paramount importance. To assist
in providing a safe working environment for employees, customers, and visitors, Kontoor Brands strives
to:
• Provide reasonable safeguards to ensure safe working conditions.
• Provide neat, clean, safe, and healthy working conditions.
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and machines in good order.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding working conditions and accident
prevention.
• Provide necessary information and training to employees about workplace safety and health in an
effort to increase safety awareness on the part of all employees.
The success of Kontoor Brands’ safety and accident prevention efforts, however, depends on
the constant and cooperative effort of all employees. Each employee is responsible for:
• Exercising care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Performing his/her job in a safe manner.
• Using required safety equipment at all times.
• Strictly adhering to all safety rules and regulations and all Kontoor Brands policies.
• Dressing in a safe manner while at work or performing work duties.
• Immediately reporting any unsafe condition, equipment, or practice to the employee's manager or
as provided in the Company's open door policy.
• Notifying his/her manager or HR Business Partner, before the beginning of the workday, if the
employee is taking any medication may cause drowsiness or otherwise adversely affect his/her
ability to safely perform the assigned job.
Some of the best safety improvement ideas come from employees. Those with ideas, concerns,
or suggestions for improved safety in the workplace are encouraged to raise them with their
manager or another member of the management team. Reports and concerns about workplace
safety issues may be made anonymously if the employee wishes. All reports, however, can be
made without fear of retaliation or reprisal.
In the case of an accident that results in an injury to a person or property, regardless of how
insignificant the injury/damage may appear, the employee involved and any employee who witnesses
such an injury or accident must immediately notify your manager or HR Business Partner.
