ANNUAL REPORT 2022-23
Good evening and welcome
Shri B S Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School
Set in the heart of Chennai City, SBSM is a second home to 3200 girls. Founded in
1975, guided by the able members of Shri Rajasthani Jain Samaj Educational
Trust, we have grown in leaps and bounds and made ourselves a name to be
reckoned with. The achievements of an organization are the results of the
combined effort of each individual. Our school is all about team work Today I would
like to present the annual report, on the occasion of the 42nd Annual Day. In
academics, as in previous years, this year too we have produced exceptional
results.160 students appeared in class XII and 236 in the class X CBSE board
examination. We procured 100% results. In class X, Darshana K Jain topped the
charts, closely followed by R Parthibe and - S Kavinila. From XII, C B Shreyaa of
the commerce stream, bagged the coveted first spot, followed by Simran Jain and
R Manushree In the science stream, U Kavya topped followed by J Nishanthni and
K Aishwarya, Hearty congratulations to all our high achievers. You are a source of
pride and inspiration to all.At SBSM we embolden children to strike a healthy
balance between academics, sports and other co-curricular activities. There are
numerous outstanding achievements of our children in sports and extra-curricular
activities . Moving on to the celebrations this year - International Yoga Day was
celebrated on a grand scale on 21st June 2022, in association with heartfulness
team. The chief guest of the day was Mr. Sugal Chand Jain. A democratic voting
procedure was set in place which resulted in the formation of the Student Council
for the year 2022-23. The investiture ceremony was held on 10th August 2022.
When SCM were inducted - consisting of Laksha Jain as school pupil leader,
Charulata as Deputy SPL , Pari Jain – Junior SPL and Samhitha Deputy Junior
SPL.The cultural secretary, sports secretary and the various captains and vice
captains of the four houses were elected.
