Regret

I try to focus on the present,
But you keep pulling me towards a closed chapter

Oh mind, can't you see?
I try desperately to relieve you out of stress,
But you are determined to halt all my efforts and create a complete mess
Oh mind cant you hear?
The loud and fast beats of my poor heart, due to the unfortunate race of the past you make her

participate,
I fear she may burst one fine day,
So stop bothering her, otherwise she may question her stay
Oh mind, can't you smell?

The fuming fire which never ceases,
Due to the ridiculous memories you recollect at ease
Only to make me savour your tease
Oh mind, can't you taste?
The disgust I always drink,

Because of the way you make me shrink,
Losing all the gut I gathered,
From the very essence where I faltered
Oh mind, can't you feel,

The pain we go through while reliving those bad days of us?
What is that you think you can gain by creating this fuss?
Oh mind, let's together build ourselves strong,
If things didn't end the way we wanted it to; what's wrong?
It's the past that offers us opportunity to try out a different way that didn't work out well earlier,

So rather,
Consider it as a shame,
Let's make it the ladder for our fame,
Otherwise we would regret on our present, in the future for being so lame.
