WHAT IS PIIE?

PIIE is a professional organization devoted to serving the needs of
industrial and systems engineering practitioners and institutions. It
was established to provide a venue where members will have the
opportunity to enhance and strengthen their industrial
engineering capabilities and expertise as well as create a potent
venue to crystallize business linkages among members and
colleagues from the industry and academe.

Founded in April 1998, PIIE is a non-stock, non-profit organization. It envisions to be the
recognized national organization and the focal point of all industrial engineering agenda
concerning the academe and industry.

In furtherance of the said objective are:

To encourage and assist education and research in industrial engineering;
To advance and encourage the practice of industrial engineering;
To provide leadership and guidance to young industrial engineering professionals;
To promote interaction among its members and cooperation with other engineering/scientific
societies and agencies to represent the industrial engineering profession.
