BEFORE BEGINNING. SEW PIECES RIGHT SIDES TOGETHER AND USE A 1/4 ” SEAM ALLOWANCE THROUGHOUT UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. CUTTING DIMENSIONS ARE HEIGHT (LENGTH- WISE GRAIN) OF FABRIC X WIDTH (CROSSWISE GRAIN WITH SELVEDGE ON SIDES) OF FABRIC. WOF - WIDTH OF FABRIC
CUTTING:
From AISH Collectible Shop Blocks:
Cut [50] — 4-1/2” square (A)
You can subsitute white fabric for the Shop
Blocks
From AISH Collectible State Block:
Cut [1] — 8-1/2” square (B)
From various AISH prints for background:
Cut [138-142] 4-1/2” square (C)
If you have the state block, you will need 138 squares. If you do NOT have the state block, you will need 142 squares.
If you have access to use an Accuquilt fabric cutting system, this pattern can be quickly cut on using the quarter square die for the 8” cube,
or 4-1/2” GO! Strip Cutter Die, or a GO! Square 4-1/2” Die.
From fabric used for binding:
Cut [6] 4-1/2” 3 WOF strips (D) BLOCK ASSEMBLY:
1. Using a ruler and rotary cutter or an Accuquilt cutting system, cut the 138 to 142 background squares.
If you are using a ruler and rotary cutter you can cut strips 4-1/2” 3 WOF then subcut down to 4-1/2” square. You will get [9] or so squares from each 4-1/2” strip. That will be [16] strips cut the full width of the fabric.
2. IfyouhavecollectedtheAISHshopblocks, count how many you have. If you have less than 50, you will need additional white squares to make a total of 50.
If you are cutting plain white squares, you can cut them the same way you cut the background squares.
If you are cutting the collectible shop blocks, center the logo on a 4-1/2” square ruler and trim around. If you do not have a 4-1/2” square ruler,
