cut around the printed area of the square a half inch away from the outer edge of the printing.
3. IfyouarecuttingtheAISHstateblock,center the logo on a 8-1/2” square ruler and trim around.
If you do not have a state block, replace it with [4] – 4-1/2” sqaures cut like the ones in step 1, for a total of 142 squares.
Construct the letter “I”
1. Sew the letter in 3 vertical rows. The first row and the third row are 1 Fabric (A) block at the top then 3 Fabric (C) blocks in the middle and 1 Fabric (A) block at the bottom. The middle row is 5 Fabric (A) blocks.
2. Presstheseamsonallthreerows.Jointhe rows together. Press the seams. Your “I” letter is complete and should measure 12-1/2” W 3 20-1/2” H.
3. Make [6] vertical rows of [5] Fabric (C) blocks each. Press the seams. Sew the [6] rows into [3] pairs.
Construct the letter “O”
1. Sew the letter in 3 vertical rows. The first and the third row are 5 Fabric (A) blocks. The middle row is 1 Fabric (A) block at the top then 3 Fabric (C) blocks in the middle and 1 Fabric (A) block at
the bottom.
