Personnel & Equalities The Personnel and Equalities Committee is made up of 16 Federation reps from across the Force. The Committee discuss and progress issues regarding fitness testing, rank pay, promotions and promotion procedures, on-call arrangements, training, Winsor issues, pensions, restricted officers and ill-health retirement. Debbie Hodson, full-time personnel lead at Guardians House, helps Federation members through some very difficult times. “Much of the day to day work I do involves supporting people who would normally be very capable of managing the situation themselves. However, the impact of the situation on their lives is often so great, that it affects their ability to function to such an extent that for a period of time they need support and representation to enable them to try to secure a workable outcome. One of my useful functions is to signpost colleagues to the internal and external support structures for their needs at the time - such as DWP benefits, Access to Work, and legal support.” Debbie Hodson.
